Hypatia (hy-PAY-shuh) was one of the most extraordinary women in history. As a mathematician, philosopher, astronomer, and inventor, she unraveled the world’s mysteries. In Hypatia’s lifetime, she was revered as a Divine being - one who lives with an ever-present knowledge of and connection to the creative force that brings about all things and binds them to each other. A renowned teacher in her time, men and women traveled from all over the known world for her wisdom, seeking her guidance to unlock the mysteries within themselves to achieve peace and to live in harmony.

Hypatia was known for attaining her self-mastery through the perfect implementation of the existent teachings within the Neoplatonic philosophical tradition of her time, rather than having contributed innovative thought to the legacy of philosophy.
